| Simon Thomas - Partner
Simon is the Family Team Leader heading up a team of experienced fee earners and support staff. He joined Leeds Day in June 2004 and became a Partner in April 2006. Simon has considerable experience in Family Law and has been awarded specialist accreditation status from Resolution (formerly the Solicitors’ Family Law Association). He deals with all aspects of family law; in particular focussing on financial matters including pensions, investment assets and self employed businesses and/or private companies following the breakdown of a marriage or civil partnership. He is also one of a pioneering group of family lawyers offering clients the option to reach agreement with their spouse or civil partner through collaborative law.
Simon makes every effort to adopt a sensitive approach in what is often a traumatic experience for those concerned whilst looking for the best practical solution for his clients. He is Parliamentary Liaison Officer for the Cambridgeshire and District Law Society and liaison officer for the Huntingdonshire collaborative family law group. He has written many articles for the local press, Family Law Journal and local Law Society newsletter
