The Leeds Day Private Client Team deals with all aspects of inheritance and law relating to elderly clients as well as trusts and administration of Estates.

Our role is to protect family wealth and provide confidential advice on all family, trust and probate matters. The team is headed by Bruce Elam and has a well established reputation for taking a practical and sensitive approach.

If it is difficult for you to come and see us in the office, our team members will visit clients in hospitals, residential homes or their own homes.

Wills – if you have not made a Will we would recommend that you do so.
Free Wills - we also run charity sponsored will schemes which enable clients to make wills for free.
Will Questionnaire
Probate and Estate Administration – when your loved one has died we can assist with the legal formalities.
Lasting Powers of Attorney - you can appoint an Attorney to look after your financial affairs or personal welfare matters.
Enduring Powers of Attorney – we can advise you on registration and your duties as an Attorney.
Deeds of Variation – a Will or intestacy provision can be changed within two years of death.
Management of Finances – if you need help, we can assist with this.

Challenging a Will – we can advise you if you feel you have grounds to challenge a Will.
A Claim against the Estate – we can advise you if you have not been adequately provided for under a Will or intestacy.
Residential Care fees – we can advise how to protect your assets.
Declarations of Trust – if you are buying a property with someone else and you both contribute unequal sums towards the purchase of the property you may need to have a Declaration of Trust to protect your interests.
Joint Tenancy or Tenancy in Common – if you own a property in joint names with someone else you need to decide whether it is in your names as joint tenants or tenants in common.
Inheritance Tax planning – advising on inheritance tax issues.
Trusts – we give advice in relation to all trust matters.
