Chris is a Partner in our Commercial Business department and specialises in Commercial real estate.

His focus is on landlord and tenant transactions including business lease renewals and new lease negotiations, rent review matters, portfolio management, acquisitions & disposals of freehold and leasehold property, including involving SIPP/SSAS schemes.

He also has significant experience in land development, regeneration and strategic site projects involving promotion, overage/clawback and option agreements and also multi-party agreements (such as colloboration/joint ventures), as well as associated finance, secured lending and property tax issues.

Chris also deals with commercial agreements including; consumer sales contracts, terms and conditions of sale & supply and advises on a spectrum of commercial issues affecting companies and individuals in business.

Chris acts for a wide range of clients including FTSE listed companies, investors, fund managers, local government, charities, developers, landlords and tenants as well as offshore clients across all industry sectors including construction and property, finance, food, government, healthcare retail and leisure.

Chris completed his legal practice course at the Inns of Court School of Law and qualified as a solicitor in 2004 after completing his training at Healys LLP.  He then moved to Eversheds LLP before joining Leeds Day.

Outside of work, Chris enjoys cross-country mountain biking; cricket; golf; walking and landscape and still life photography.  He is married with two young daughters and is a board member and trustee of Magpas Helimedix.
