The Leeds Day employment team specialise in all aspects of employment law. We regularly advise on contentious matters including wrongful and unfair dismissal, sex, race and disability discrimination, unlawful deductions from "wages", redundancy and reorganisation, equal pay and treatment, confidential information, trade secrets and restrictive covenants (eg, non-competition, non-solicitation).
Non contentious areas of advice include recruitment, offers of employment or engagement, Directors' service agreements, terms and conditions of employment, employee handbooks, staff manuals and other training aids, consultancy agreements, equal opportunities policies, other policies (such as health and safety, disciplinary and grievance, internet, etc) and corporate support in respect to employment issues arising from mergers, acquisitions and disposals
Advocacy can be undertaken both "in house" or via the use of external specialist Counsel, as appropriate to the particular case and the client's needs.
The Team participates in regular updating seminars and issues bi-annual newsletters.
